Farzam Fanitabasi

Farzam Fanitabasi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research focuses on designing and developing infrastructures for facilitated text analysis in large-scale and distributed settings. Within OPTED, the outcomes will be used for transparent and reproducible comparative political text analysis. He is also collaborating with OPTED WP6 on multilingual NLP (natural language processing) models, contributing to the development of reproducible and easy-to-use tools for multilingual natural language processing. Farzam is currently wrapping up his PhD from ETH Zurich, where his thesis is focused on collaborative decision-making systems for smart cities.
