Anna Smoliarova
Anna Smoliarova is a Visiting researcher at the Department of Communication and Journalism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before joining the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, she specialized in grassroots communication on social media platforms and was involved in multiple projects examining political polarization in online discussions on inter-ethnic conflicts via computational text analysis methods. Last four years, Smoliarova was also leading several research projects on media consumption among Russian-speaking immigrants worldwide. Her recent research has concentrated on the global networked publics, international cooperation between social media influencers with migration background, and COVID-19 related communication on social media.
