Amanda Haraldsson is a post-doctoral researcher at the Communication & Culture Department of Audencia Business School, completing her PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute. Her doctoral thesis examines the ways in which discrimination against women in political news media can impact the political representation of women from a supply-side perspective (broadly conceptualised as gender differences in political ambition and the substantive and symbolic representation of women by their representatives).
