Between 04-05th July 2023, members of the OPTED consortium and invited experts gathered in Vienna for the final conference of the projected (which continues until September 2023).
July 4 marked the internal day of the conference, where the different work packages of the project presented their ongoing work and current updates. The future and continuation of the project and its work have been discussed.
On July 5, the agenda evolved around the central results of the OPTED project and how it can be situated in wider debates and issues related to political texts. Applications as well as learnings from the project work were presented, followed by roundtable discussions with stakeholders from different perspectives to examine their needs and issues in relation to text data.
Among others, we were joined by Tobias Dienlin, Franciska de Jong and Katja Mayer, to discuss the ‚Importance of Open and FAIR Data Sharing’. Christoph Konrath, Simon Hofer, Andreas Marquet and Gerrit Voerman shared the ‚Perspective of Data Owners’, while Susana Salgado, Moritz Laurer and Andrew Aiton contributed from the ‘Perspective of Data Users’.
